The Laman Library’s renovation of the Downtown Post Office as its Argenta branch is complete and Saturday, April 5, is the big day for the grand opening ceremony. Rodney Block and the Real Music Lovers will play music at 10 a.m., the Arkansas Toothpick Theater will present “The Front Porch Jubilee” variety show at 11 a.m., the “Tail Waggin’ Tutors” event that helps kids practice their reading skills by reading to dogs will be at 12:30 p.m., a gallery talk by Sandra Taylor Smith, director of the North Little Rock History Commission, and Otto Seay, a postal employee from 1958-1990, about the photographic history exhibit on the post office is set for 2 p.m. There will be arts and crafts activities all day in the children’s department.
