The weather may get cold again, but the rest of January is heating up with some great food events. Have an event you’d like to see featured? Let me know at firstname.lastname@example.org.
*Lucie’s Place Benefit: Okay, so this one is only kind of food related, but it’s a cause near and dear to my heart. White Water Tavern will be hosting a benefit for Lucie’s Place on Jan. 23 at 6 p.m. Only a $5 donation gets you in the door for dancing, drinking, and supporting one of the best LGBT support organizations around.
*South on Main Beer Dinner: Tickets are still available for the South on Main Beer Dinner on Jan. 27. The five course dinner will feature some of the SoM kitchen’s best dishes along with delicious beer paired just for the occasion. Tickets are $70.
*Moody Brews Debuts at Damgoode Pies: To celebrate their collaboration, Damgoode Pies and Moody Brews are throwing a “shindig” at Damgoode’s Cantrell location from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Jan. 28. The event will feature all three current Moody Brews beers (Half Seas Over Imperial IPA, Sixes and Sevens Imperial Belgian Chocolate Porter and the Earl Grey ESB) as well as $2 slices of pizza. Should be a fun night.
*Prosciutto and Beer: Pork genius Brandon Brown of Hillcrest Artisan Meats is taking his salt-cured show on the road to Stone’s Throw Brewing on Jan. 28 at 6:30 p.m. There will be 7 different types of prosciutto available for the tasting, along with 7 delicious beers picked just for the pairing, all for only $20.
