What’s the best dessert in Arkansas? According to restaurant guide experts Zagat’s, it’s the Karo Nut Pie at Franke’s cafeteria. Is it the dead-level best dessert in the state? Well, there’s no way to really make an objective decision about that, of course, but I don’t have an issue with this choice by Zagat’s. Franke’s is a Little Rock institution—and it is arguably the oldest restaurant in the state. The family-run restaurant is a from-scratch paradise of tasty down-home goodies, and that pecan pie is just one of the many delights available.

What do you all think about this choice? If you were nominating a best dessert in the state, what would it be? I’m honestly not much of a dessert eater, but I think this pie is pretty great.
