Just as Gusano’s owner Tim Chappell told the Times a while back when he was talking about his plans to open The Shack in the River Market district, UberEATS, the food delivery service, launched today in Little Rock. A press release from the company said you can use UberEats to have food delivered from dozens of Little Rock eateries.
You can order either by downloading the free UberEATS app or going to the UberEATS webpage. You’ll create a sign-in (your Uber app will work), open a restaurant link (which shows the prices of the food and expected delivery time) and order. A visit to the website shows 16 participating restaurants in the neighborhood of 201 E. Markham (Eat Arkansas’s headquarters), among them Dugan’s Pub, Hawgz Blues Cafe, Skinny J’s, Stratton’s Market and Mexico Chiquito. The press release noted that Star of India and 610 Center are also participating. There are also national chains participating, including Slim Chickens and Captain D’s.
