Luke Combs Jim Wright/Sacks & Co.

One of the hottest new names in country music brings his “Beer Never Broke My Heart” tour to Verizon Arena in North Little Rock tonight.

But just in case the name Luke Combs doesn’t ring a bell, these songs probably do: “Hurricane,” “When It Rains It Pours,” “One Number Away” and “She Got the Best of Me.” All four tracks from Combs’ 2017 album “This One’s For You” have hit No. 1 on country airplay charts and probably had you singing along with the radio to the North Carolina native’s gravelly voice.

We don’t pay a whole lot of attention to Billboard’s rankings these days, but this little fact caught our eye: Combs has two singles in the Top 10 on the magazine’s Feb. 2 Country Airplay chart; His latest single, “Beautiful Crazy,” joined his previous single, “She Got the Best of Me,” there. Billboard says the last time that feat was pulled off was in January 2000 by one Tim McGraw, who took to Instagram and posted a link heralding Combs’ achievement, along with a personal note: “Welcome to the club buddy.”

The 28-year-old singer-songwriter will be joined in concert by LANCO and Jameson Rodgers. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m.
