Don’t know what we did to deserve this, but if you did a good deed this week or otherwise put a penny in the karmic balance of the universe somehow, I’d like to thank you for your contribution, because:
It’s only been a year and change since multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Carper sent this beauty out into the world, but here we are and there’s more on the way Nov. 18 with the release of a full album. Many of the same musicians who lent magic to “Daddy’s Country Gold” appear in the credits — Chris Scruggs, Dennis Crouch, Sierra Ferrell, Matty Meyer, Billy Contreras! Also there’s a song called “Boxers on Backwards” embedded in the track list, and we’re here for it.
Liner notes:
Recorded at the Bomb Shelter in Nashville, TN with Producers Dennis Crouch and Andrija Tokic. Ten Melissa Carper originals, a co-write with Gina Gallina, a Brennen Leigh cover and an Odetta cover.
Album Artwork by Connie Collingsworth of Ridin’ High Productions
Includes digital pre-order of Ramblin’ Soul. You get 1 track now (streaming via the free Bandcamp app and also available as a high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more), plus the complete album the moment it’s released.
Hallelujah and let’s get some goats.
