When he’s not behind the board at Fellowship Hall Sound, the studio he runs in Little Rock, producer Jason Weinheimer gets up to his own noisemaking in The Libras, a Wilco-esque folk pop outfit. Though technically a solo venture, the project is frequently touched by the arsenal of musician friends he’s amassed over years of recording and touring.
At 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 24, The Libras are playing a rare full-band show at White Water Tavern, where Weinheimer will be joined by regular local collaborators Chris Michaels and Charles Wyrick as well as Tulsa’s Paddy Ryan and Jesse Aycock (check out what Vintage Guitar magazine has to say about him), all of which were featured on his 2021 album “Faded.” We interviewed Weinheimer about the record back in 2021.
The bill is shared by Dave Easley, an unreal pedal steel player from New Orleans who’s found a home in the world of jazz.
Tickets are $8 and can be purchased here.
