"Daughters of Chaos" by Arkansas writer Jen Fawkes will be out soon.

Maybe we jumped the gun last November when we wrote about Little Rock native Jen Fawkes‘ pending novel. “Daughters of Chaos” won’t be published until July, which still feels very far away!

But it’s hard not to get excited over an Arkansas writer’s fabulist novel about Civil War-era prostitutes in Nashville. Union soldiers, spies, STDs and maybe some occult stuff will be up in the mix, and we are intrigued.

Fawkes dropped another teaser today to mark the two-month countdown until her publish date. It’s a letter to readers, in which she talks a bit about how the book came together after multiple tries.
