THE OLD MILL
One of North Little Rock’s most popular attractions, the Old Mill is a 1933 re-creation of a water-powered gristmill dating to 1828. Also known as Pugh Mill, it was featured in the opening of “Gone With the Wind,” and is home to several sculptures of internationally known Mexico City artist Dionico Rodriguez. It’s also famous as a place to meet for lunch or a wedding, and it’s is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Admission is free.

E. FAY JONES PAVILION
Nearly forgotten but not abandoned, the William F. Laman Public Library recently renovated its 45-year-old pavilion designed by renowned architect E. Fay Jones. It is now the crowning jewel of Laman Plaza, which includes green grounds, walkways and a large foundation.

ARKANSAS NATIONAL GUARD MUSEUM
This Arkansas National Guard museum tells two stories: the history of the Arkansas National Guard from its inception in 1804 as the “Arkansaw Militia” to the present, as well as the history of Camp Pike since its founding in 1917 (later renamed Robinson). Exhibits feature the National Guard’s involvement in every American conflict from the War with Mexico to the Gulf War (except the Vietnam War) and the use of Camp Robinson as an Army training facility in various conflicts. The museum site, Lloyd England Hall, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is located at Camp Robinson.
