Get ’em while the getting’s good: Arkansas Times Publisher Alan Leveritt dropped off 100 pounds of large heirloom tomatoes to Edwards Food Giant today from his India Blue Farm in North Pulaski County.

Look for Carbons, Goldies and Ananas Noires at Edwards on the corner of Cantrell and Mississippi in Little Rock and on Reynolds Road in Bryant. These are large, high acid, 19th-century varieties. Carbon is a nearly black tomato; Ananas Noire is green with red marbling; and the Goldies are a deep gold color (not yellow) when ripe.
