DIY divas and haute homesteaders will want to caravan to the corner of Sixth and Scott streets in downtown Little Rock on Saturday, May 20th for a get together with Georgia Pellegrini, the official Girl Hunter and the self-sufficiency superstar behind the new book “Modern Pioneering.” Pellegrini specializes in Insta-worthy food and home projects that look more like a fun creative hobby than practical, useful tips for making the beautiful best of what you’ve got.

Pellegrini came to Arkansas recently to speak at Baptist Health’s annual Bolo Bash Luncheon, and she liked our capital city (and visit to the urban teaching farm Dunbar Garden) so much she decided to come back and share a little bit of her expertise in an intimate get-together on a sunny downtown rooftop. The day will kick off with a flower styling session with Tanarah Haynie of Tanarah Luxe Floral—a favorite of brides and event planners across the South. After that, a guided meditation led by local yoga den Barefoot Studio will get everyone in the mood to soak up all the good ideas bouncing around among a panel of creatives sharing tips on how they design their best lives.

Following the program, refreshments and music pave the way for some social time and mingling with featured guests. The event takes place from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 20th, atop of the parking deck at Sixth and Scott streets in downtown Little Rock. Space is limited to 200 guests; the first 100 guests to arrive will receive a swag bag full of goodies from local makers and artisans. For more information, visit Georgia Pellegrini’s website.
