I wonder how many people, upon listening to John McCain and Sarah Palin desperately telling us of their non-solutions to the economic crisis facing the country today, recalled the theme from All in the Family – particularly the lines:
Mister, we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again . . .
What a grand idea it would be if the Obama campaign coupled that music with some of John McCain’s not-so-lofty rhetoric.
It would be short, sweet, and get the message across in an unmistakable way. Even Republicans could not fail to get the message.
Quote of the Day
“I get up every morning determined both to change the world and to have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning the day difficult.” –– E.B. White, writer (1899-1985)
