As Good-will Ambassadors go, the city of Fayetteville would be hard-pressed to find one to beat Frou Gallagher, who has just retired from the Government Channel.
Hold on a minute . . .
Frou has retired? Well, that sure puts a hole in your boat.
In addition to being one of the most cheerful government workers it has ever been my good fortune to meet, I have also been lucky enough to work with Frou on various productions.
The talented (and award-winning, I should add) Ms. Gallagher always brought a level of creativity to whatever production she aided, that your production values were raised to the nth degree, just by having her there.
Living as we do in an unimaginative world of cookie-cutter shots and rigid conformity, the existence of someone like Frou Gallagher in the world is an inspiration to everyone to all of us who have been fortunate enough to work with her.
The city of Fayetteville was damn lucky to have her for all these years, and now whoever sees whatever productions she makes will be equally as lucky.
