The State Police reports a Missouri man is in critical condition with a self-inflicted gunshot wound after a car chase from Bald Knob to Beebe last night.
Pulaski County deputies report a suspect's car hit a patrol car during the course of a long chase south of Little Rock yesterday that ended with the arrest of a man with an outstanding warrant on a firearms charge.
David Sachar with the state Judicial Discipline and Disability Commission announced today that a letter of admonishment has been issued to Fifth Judicial Circuit Judge William "Bill" Pearson, who blew through a DWI checkpoint near Clarksville in January before leading police on a short pursuit until a State Trooper disabled his truck by running into it.
Clarksville Circuit Judge William "Bill" Pearson plead guilty to two misdemeanors on Monday, including DWI and reckless driving, relating to a Jan. 20 incident in which he blew through a DWI checkpoint before leading officers on a chase of over a mile near Clarksville.
The Root Cafe has won a $150,000 Mission Main Street Grant awarded by Chase bank. A formal presentation of the check will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the cafe. The restaurant was one of 20 winners in the national grant program for small businesses.
Heather Cater, 22, of Traskwood was fatally injured about 6 p.m. Wednesday when struck by an SUV on the parking lot of her job at Walgreens, Col. Glenn and University. The vehicle, reported stolen, was being chased by Pulaski sheriff's deputies.
