ATF, FBI investigating Greenbrier fatal shooting scene where explosives found

A spokesman for the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office said that agents with the ATF and FBI are investigating a case in Greenbrier, following a fatal shooting last night in which responding officers found explosive materials at a home that was apparently being used as a hospice for the elderly.

LRPD: Homicide just after 2 p.m.

Lt. Sidney Allen, spokesman for the Little Rock Police Department, reports another homicide today on Longcoy St., the 10th death investigated as a homicide in the city so far in April. UPDATE: An arrest has been made.

LRPD: three wounded in Baseline car wash shootout

The Little Rock Police Department says that a shootout at the Splash carwash on Baseline Rd. has left three wounded, with one in critical condition. Police say that around 4 p.m. Friday, a suspect went to the car wash at 8020 Baseline Rd, where he encountered two people who he'd previously had an unspecified "disturbance" with. Police said the man pulled a handgun and began firing at the two, who pulled out handguns of their own and returned fire. All three were wounded in the ensuing shootout

Police: Maumelle High locked down after handgun found; student in custody

Maumelle High School was placed on lockdown this morning around 11 a.m. after police responded following a report of a student with a handgun. After a search, police said, an 18-year-old senior, James Zantrese Austin, 18, was arrested and a small-caliber handgun was recovered from a classroom The lockdown has been lifted as of this writing.

LR POLICE: argument leads to gunshots at S. Main grocery store

An argument today at the Edwards Food Giant store at 1701 South Main St. in Little Rock escalated to the point that shots were fired, police said. Lt. Sidney Allen with the Little Rock Police Department said that just before 1 p.m., several subjects were involved in an argument outside the store. As the argument escalated, someone drew a gun and fired several shots. No one was injured, Allen said, but a vehicle was hit.

LRPD: two shot at N. Shackleford Waffle House

The Little Rock Police Department reports that around 3 a.m. this morning, two people were shot inside a Little Rock Waffle House following an argument.

Domestic battery charge upgraded to homicide after victim dies

Ft. Smith teen shot during 'zombie game'

A 16-year-old Ft. Smith boy was wounded in the shoulder yesterday by a friend who shot him with a .40 caliber pistol while they were playing a "zombie game" with another teen.
