KaToya Ellis Fleming named third recipient of 2019 Oxford American Jeff Baskin Writers Fellowship

The Fellowship's third recipient is KaToya Ellis Fleming, a Georgia writer who will spend her time in Central Arkansas working on "Finding Frank," a manuscript that explores Georgia novelist and Augusta native Frank Yerby's relationship to his native Augusta against the backdrop of Fleming's own connection to the city, which she calls "a world both different and unchanged."

Death reported of Jeff Baskin, director of Laman Library

The CaringBridge website for Jeff Baskin, the long-director of North Little Rock's Laman Public Library, reports that he died last night. He was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer in mid-July.
