Big news for eaters. The Local Lime restaurant guys have bought Browning's in the Heights and plan a restaurant that leans more Tex-Mex than Local Lime, with tacos, nachos, burritos and a setting conducive to big crowds cheering Razorback games (presuming that day ever comes again). Eat Arkansas has the scoop.
The line is open. A couple of closing notes:
* A BELATED LOCAL LIME REVIEW: Time was, particularly when I did restaurant reviews for the Arkansas Gazette, that I ate most meals out and couldn't wait to try the latest place, whether dive or deluxe eatery.
I asked earlier for folks to speculate on who'll win tomorrow's Arkansas Times Heritage Hog Roast. One thing is certain, Local Lime's team, The Porkshank Redemption, is winning in the prepping category. Or at least they're winning at plugging their prepping on social media.
The recently opened Local Lime may be young but it certainly knows its way around a taco. Fresh ingredients, creative combinations, and reasonable prices are sure to help propel Local Lime into the forefront of the central Arkansas dining scene.
