Big Country Chateau tenants unhappy with city’s efforts to relocate folks

About a month ago, Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott Jr. declared a state of emergency to relocate tenants at the unsafe Big Country Chateau apartments on Colonel Glenn Road. Scott said that about 40 families have received assistance, but some tenants voiced their continued frustrations on Tuesday.

Mayor Frank Scott Jr. took a step on Tuesday to get residents out of the apartments and into safe living conditions. City Attorney Tom Carpenter also noted Arkansas's poor tenant laws and updated that the city inspection of all 151-units was completed.
