2019 Rosenzweig Biennial at ASC

Juror Joseph Givens of the Louisiana State University College of Art & Design selected work by six Arkansas artists, among others, for the 2019 Irene Rosenzweig Biennial of the Arts and Science Center for Southeast Arkansas. The show is open to artists from Arkansas and surrounding states.

Awards will be presented at the opening Thursday, Oct. 10.

Arkansans whose work will be in the show: Win Bruhl of Little Rock, for his pen and ink drawing “Guardian”; Aaron Calvert of Russellville for his ceramic sculpture “Rosa’s Squirrel”; Susan Baker Chambers of Little Rock for her painting “End of Summer”; Kasey Ramirez of Fayetteville for her woodcut “The Swell”; Maria Botti Villegas of El Dorado for her painting on paper “Searching Under the Moonlight”; and Elizabeth Weber of Little Rock for her sculpture “Learning to Say No.” Chambers and Weber received $100 merit awards for their work.

The juried exhibition was created by a gift from the Irene Rosenzweig Endowment Fund to ASC in 1992.
