Oil by Patrick McFarlin at the Butler Center Galleries

The monthly after-hours downtown gallery event features “Acansa to Arkansas” at the Historic Arkansas Museum (200 E. Third St.), “Picture It Painted — Fifty Years of McFarlin Oil” at the Butler Center of Arkansas History (Galleries at Library Square, 401 President Clinton Ave.), nature-themed art at the Witt Stephens Jr. Central Arkansas Nature Center (602 President Clinton Ave.), living history performances of WWI soldiers and period music led by Michael Carenbauer at the Old State House Museum (300 W. Markham St.), jazz by Ted Ludwig and live painting by Barry Thomas at the Capitol Hotel (111 W. Markham St.), exhibit “40 Under 40” at the Arkansas Repertory Theatre (601 Main St.), “Meet-the-Artists Open House Reception at Gallery 221 (221 W. Second St.) and handmade jewelry and herbs, flowers, pins and tea towels from Bell Urban Farm at Bella Vita Jewelry (108 W. Sixth St.).
