A new fundraiser at The Rep (601 Main St.) will be a big draw this 2nd Friday Art Night, with 5-by-5-inch artworks by more than 120 artists for sale for $55. There will be music by DJ Mario Luna, food trucks and drinks at The Rep to add to the competition with the Galleries at Library Square (401 President Clinton Ave.), where the 2019 National Pastel Show opens in the main gallery and Matthew Castellano’s “Plateau” opens in the bookstore. The Matt Stone and Red Dean acoustical duo will play in the main gallery. Multimedia artist Milkdadd will have work at Bella Vita Jewelry (108 W. Sixth St.); the 1944 movie “Meet Me in St. Louis” will be screened at the Old State House Museum (300 W. Markham); Gallery 221 (221 W. Second St.) will exhibit multiple artists; and the Historic Arkansas Museum (200 W. Second St.) will have a mini-exhibit on William Woodruff and the Arkansas Gazette, which he founded in 1819 and which folded in October 1991 after the Arkansas Democrat bought its assets. There will be beer by Lost Forty, music by Charlotte Taylor and a talk by columnist Rex Nelson.
