Argenta Reading Series: Elle Nash

By Rebekah Hall

Saturday 9/21. 6:30 p.m.-9 p.m. Free. Argenta United Methodist Church, North Little Rock.

Free

As part of the Argenta Reading Series, author Elle Nash will read from her 2018 novel “Animals Eat Each Other,” which was featured in the June 2018 Reading Room of Oprah Magazine. Nash is also the founding editor of Witch Craft Magazine, and her penchant for the occult is present in her debut novel, which follows a polyamorous, sadomasochistic relationship between a male Satanist and tatoo artist, his girlfriend, and a third party, Lilith, who finds herself caught in a web of desire and jealousy that becomes increasingly difficult to navigate. The event’s opening reader will be Arkansas native Heather Breed Steadham, whose creative nonfiction writing has been featured in The Oxford American and Arkansas Life, and whose poetry has been published by Rat’s Ass Review and Poetry South. Boxed wine will be served at 6:30 p.m., and the readings begin at 7 p.m.
