10 p.m. Four Quarter Bar. $7.
CosmOcean is bringing its high energy and sensual disco vibes to Four Quarter Bar on Saturday, June 29. The seven member band is helmed by classically trained singers Jaimee Jensen-McDaniel and Ron McDaniel II on lead vocals, with Doug Roisen on electric bass guitar and synth, Simon Gable on drums, Nate Mathew on electric guitar and synth, James Burton on saxophone and Matt Glenn on electric guitar. The combined musical prowess of CosmOcean’s members is evenly matched by creative, relatable lyrics. “Beer, Bread, and Cheese,” a track from the band’s 2016 self-titled EP, makes a compelling case that these three ingredients help to solve the world’s problems, a sentiment I couldn’t agree with more. “Devil Dance,” the first track on the EP, feels like a modern ABBA send-up, especially in the ease with which Jaimee and Ron McDaniel — bandmates as well as husband and wife — come together to duet. Tickets are $7 at the door and the show starts at 10 p.m.
