The Fort Smith Regional Art Museum features an exhibition of pastels by David Mudrinich, drawing and painting professor at Arkansas Tech. One of Mudrinich’s favorite subjects is beehives, sometimes on abandoned property. FSRAM said the subject suggests “a mysterious ritual-like setting that might be measuring time, much like a miniature Stonehenge or sundial.”
You need not approach the work with such esoteric reasoning. Mudrinich has a deft hand.
