Performance careers facilitate abundant friendships, but only a handful of those bonds tend to stick for life, as has the one between pianist Erika Nickrenz, violinist Sara Parkins and cellist Sara Sant’Ambrogio. The three became friends over the course of their early studies at some of the country’s finest classical music incubators — Tanglewood Music Center, The Juilliard School and The Curtis Institute of Music — and formed the Eroica Trio, probably the most sought-after piano trio in the world. Here, they’re guests of the ACANSA Arts Festival of the South and the Chamber Music Society of Little Rock, playing a feisty program of Bach and Brahms, plus settings of Gershwin’s “Porgy and Bess” and Rachmaninoff’s Vocalise that were arranged specifically for the group.
Complimentary hors d’oeuvres and wine will be served following the performance, and admission is free for children, students of all ages and Easterseals clients and caregivers. Get tickets here.
