5:30 p.m. Oct. 17, Terry House, 7th and Rock Streets, $30.
The 7th annual Fountain Fest, the fundraising event of the Arkansas Arts Center’s Contemporaries group of young members, is moving this year to the front lawn of the Terry House at Seventh and Rock streets.
The move, necessitated by the construction of the new Arts Center, means there won’t be a fountain, but there will be a gush of fun: Live music from Brian Nahlen and Jason Lee Hale, art-making with Museum School instructors, a shadow-puppet photo booth, and food and drink. Petit & Keet and the Chenal Country Club are catering, UA Pulaski Tech is doing the desserts, Stone’s Throw Brewing and Back Forty Beer Co. are handling the suds, and Roxor Gin and Tito’s Handmade Vodka is going in the cocktails.
Chances for a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle 20 year bourbon will be sold for $10.
The event helps fund the Contemporaries acquisitions for the Arts Center and other programming. Tickets are $30 or $50 for two and are available at arkansasartscenter.org/tickets.
