Joan Jett and Heart are two 1970s American rock and roll heirlooms that need no introduction, with hits we all still know, love and sing today. Without Heart’s “Barracuda” and Jett’s “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll,” the music world may never have realized what rock ‘n’ roll powerhouses women can be, and we never would have experienced this new, more fierce Taylor Swift, or even some of the electric guitar stylings of Sheryl Crow — who, it’s worth mentioning, are among some of this combo’s recent collaborators. If the last few months on the road for this duo is any indication, this tour promises to deliver old favorites and a healthy dose of newer, stylized covers to bring together both older and newer generations of fringe- and full-on rockers.
