“Purses with Purpose: Girl Scouts Through the Decades” at the Esse Purse Museum examines scouting with purses, outfits and books.
The artifacts date from 1912, when Juliette Gordon Low formed Girl Scouts USA, to today, and come from Esse’s own collection, the Girl Scouts-Diamonds of Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas, and from the private collection of Kathleen Pate. Pate is the former president of the Arkansas Women’s History Institute.
The show runs through Aug. 18.
