M2 Gallery’s “She Show” is a reprise of its 2017 show highlighting women artists, this time including a California artist whose drawings are part of the collection of Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, another California painter and 25 artists from Arkansas. The works were chosen from 150 submissions.
The California artists are Adonna Khare of Burbank, whose 8-by-36-foot triptych “Elephants” is in the collection of Crystal Bridges, and Lacey Bryant of the Bay Area, a narrative painter, are in the show. Arkansas artists represented include Melverue Abraham, Jeaneen Barnhart, Alecia Walls Barton, Autumn Blaylock, Cathy Burns, V.L. Cox, Carly Dahl, Scinthya Edwards, Charis Fleshner, Emily Galusha, Caroline Gustafson, Lisa Krannichfeld, Cheryl Kellar, Greta Kresse, Julie Latayan, Ann Laser, Samantha Jane Mullen, Catherine Nugent, Hannah Lawrence, Hannah McBroom, Michele Mikesell, Sandra Sell, Ashley Swain, Mabry Turner and Elizabeth Weber.
An after-party with entertainment by A Rowdy Faith at South on Main follows the SOMA at Night art show opening at 9 p.m. Sept. 6. Tickets will be available at the door or at Central Arkansas Tickets.
