Kensuke Yamada, who was born in Japan, was a visiting artist at the University of Arkansas and now teaches at Centre College in Kentucky, is a clay sculptor who creates figures, some meant to hang on a wall. Louisiana artist Ricky Sikes, an illustrator and art conservationist at Masur Museum of Art in Monroe, La., works in oil to depict what he calls “internal landscapes.” Both are exhibiting at Boswell Mourot in a show jointly sponsored by former Sen. David Pryor and his wife, Barbara, and former Sen. Mark Pryor and his wife, Joi.
An artists reception 6-9 p.m. July 20 will open the show, which runs through Aug. 10.
