SATURDAY 12/21. 7:30 p.m. Rev Room. $8-10.
The one percenters of Little Rock’s population could stand to take a cue from the city’s rock and rollers; you can count on a stacked bill when it comes to benefit shows for area nonprofits. Take this heavy music concert at the Rev Room Saturday night, with sets from Mortalus, Smoke Signals, Celestials and Pantheon, partial proceeds of which benefit the Arkansas Foodbank. Stand-up comedian Ruben “The Meatman” Talsma emcees, and bringing four canned good items gets you $2 off admission. Get tickets here.
If you can’t make the show, but want to donate canned goods to the Arkansas Foodbank in advance, drop those off at any of these locations: Cupcakes on Kavanaugh, (5625 Kavanaugh Blvd.), Cupcake Factory (18104 Kanis Rd.), The Local (2915 W. Markham St.), Pizza D’Action (2919 W. Markham St.), Moore Brothers Printing & Graphics (717 Main St., North Little Rock), Superior Auto Repair & Transmission (1002 S. Redmond Rd., Jacksonville), Boudreaux’s Grill & Bar (9811 Maumelle Blvd.) or at Jimmymac & Rob’s Roadhouse (6301 Trace Creek Rd., Benton).
