Named after a work for piano, oboe and bassoon by French composer Francis Poulenc, this celebrated piano-wind group comes to Little Rock as guests of the Chamber Music Society of Little Rock with funding from the Arkansas Arts Council.
Inaugurated in 1993 by the now-defunct Spectrum Weekly and handed over to the Arkansas Times around 1997, the showcase has been reliably eclectic in its third decade, offering sets from seasoned local ensembles, side projects from longtime music veterans and talented upstarts honing their stage offerings for the first time.
Joining Carlisle are two of the biggest vocal juggernauts the state of Arkansas can boast these days: Adam Faucett and Jamie Lou Connolly of Jamie Lou & The Hullabaloo.
Events are open to members Friday, Feb. 21, with general admission opening Feb. 22. Each performance requires its own ticket purchase; see themomentary.org for tickets.
